Talking with Young People About Sexual Health and HIV – Training for Professionals.
GOSHH are providing free training days in the areas of Sexual Health & HIV for professionals who are working with Young People in the Mid-West.
The aim of this training course is to develop participants knowledge and skills around talking to young people about sexual health and HIV.
This is a free in person, one day training course and is for professionals who work with young people around issues related to sexual health and HIV.
Learning Outcomes:
• Feel more confident in talking to young people about sexual health and HIV.
• Have explored your own personal values, opinions and beliefs.
• Understand the law in relation to sexual health, relationships and HIV.
• Increased your knowledge on contraception, common STIs and prevention strategies.
• Be able to signpost young people to sexual health services online, locally and nationally.
The workshop has elements of facilitated discussion, participatory learning, and personal development. Methodologies include large and small group work, individual reflection, group discussion and audio visual learning aids.
GOSHH is running a number of workshops across the Mid-West for professionals working with young people around sexual health and HIV.
