Erica Noonan – Health Promotion Worker
Erica joined the GOSHH team in June of 2022 as our Health Promotion worker.
Erica’s role consists of, evaluating, developing, implementing and facilitating sexual health and wellbeing programmes and trainings, designed to build the capacity of individuals, groups, communities and professionals, as well as identifying specific communities, or people, in need of sexual health and wellbeing information and resources.
Erica also provides psychosocial and psychosexual support to people of any age who are looking for information and/or support around their sexual health and wellbeing. Click the ‘Service’ tab to find out more.
Erica has a B.A. in Counselling and Psychotherapy and, prior to joining GOSHH, almost a decade of experience working as a social care worker both here in Ireland and abroad.
Over the course of her career Erica has worked with young people and adults living with disabilities, young people in state care, unaccompanied refugee minors, migrants, the LGBTI+ community, people with substance abuse issues and people working in the sex work industry.
Erica works from a non-judgemental, sex positive view point, believing that sexual health and wellbeing should not be about fear, shame or stigma – but about safety, happiness, fulfilment and empowerment. Through an intersectional humanistic, rights-based lens, Erica uses an integration of evidence based approaches to provide individuals and groups with the most up-to-date information and to support them as best as possible with their personal development and growth.
