In this section you will find information on how HIV transmission is prevented. This means how you can stop yourself or others from getting HIV.

One of the key factors in HIV prevention is knowledge. The more you know about HIV, the better able you are to prevent transmission. If you require education around HIV for either yourself or a group please go to our training section.

Though there are three main ways that HIV is transmitted in this section you will find:
Universal procedures
Blood to blood
Sexual transmission
Mother to baby
PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis)
Living with HIV

Whilst we have endeavoured to provide as much basic information as possible prevention methods have to suit the individual and the situation so if you find you need more information or would like to talk to someone about anything you have read in this section please contact us.
